James Vietti

40 years ago today, my Dad, James W. Vietti, passed away as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident with a drunk driver. He was only 29 years old. I am grateful for the 8 years that I had with my Dad. His life and death serve as a constant reminder that our lives are but a vapor (James 4:14). We do not know how long we are going to live on this earth, but we can know what will happen to us when we die. Eternal life is found only in Jesus Christ (John 14:6; 17:3). Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-3). Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins. Jesus Christ alone offers us a gift, the gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23). Have you admitted that you are a sinner in need of a Savior? Have you believed in Jesus Christ and what He did for you?
